Student & Poster Competitions
Participate and compete for awards & prizes through TSHP and the TSHP Research and Education (R&E) Foundation's competitions:
The Leadership Challenge competition is designed to help students further explore their roles as leaders in the healthcare field. This competition is a great opportunity for students to collaborate with classmates and present ideas to potential employers.
The TSHP Clinical Skills Competition is a team-based analysis of clinical scenarios for hospital and health-system pharmacists. It provides student pharmacists the opportunity to enhance their skills in providing direct patient care. This statewide competition helps prepare participants to compete on a national scale.
The Disease State Management Competition is an interactive, team-based competition for student pharmacists to collaborate in analyzing a patient case and practice their clinical thought process. The competition is designed to mimic real-world pharmacy practice. Participation is a great way to practice delivering comprehensive disease-state management efficiently under time restraints and use communication skills to collaborate with health-care professionals. This statewide competition helps prepare participants to compete on a national scale.
The annual Poster Session and Competition is an opportunity for seminar registrants to submit and display original scholarly work in poster format. If applicable, posters can compete in one of the following seven categories: Resident/Fellow/Post-Graduate: PGY1 or PGY2; Student; Technician; Practitioner: Administrative/Practice Management, Clinical, or Education. Display-only submissions are also accepted. This statewide competition helps prepare participants to compete on a national scale.
