Managing Immune Related Adverse Events
Immunocompromised patients are at a heightened risk of infection due to various fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Unfortunately, there is no "one-size-fits-all" answer for the prevention or management of these infections.
One of the most common complications encountered in immunocompromised patients is febrile neutropenia, resulting in frequent hospital admissions and antimicrobial consumption. This activity will describe the
variety of potential infections that may be encountered in different immunocompromised patient populations as well as the prevention and treatment of febrile neutropenia.

CAR-T Therapy Optimization and Toxicity Management
Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy is a relatively new treatment modality and our understanding and management remains fluid. Moreover, multiple decision points throughout the CAR-T treatment process
directly affect patient outcomes. Therefore, updates in key concepts will be discussed to better understand some crucial concepts in optimizing patient care.
During this session advanced content regarding CAR-T therapy will be reviewed. Pharmacists provide pivotal roles in selection of chemotherapy regimens prior to CAR-T infusion and toxicity management.
Therefore, the focus of this presentation will be identifying opportunities to optimize bridging chemotherapy, lymphodepletion regimens and management of cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated
neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS).
