The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) is proud to announce that Amber Elliott, PharmD, BCPS, is the recipient of the 2025 Industry Service Award. TSHP annually recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations within our community for excellence and a commitment to advancing healthcare and pharmacy practice in Texas. The awardees are selected by the TSHP Board of Directors based on nominations submitted by TSHP members. A pharmacy industry representative earns this award by demonstrating professionalism, support for and participation in the programs of TSHP, leadership in pharmaceutical education and/or research and a commitment to safe, rational, economic drug therapy and healthcare. Dr. Amber Elliott is a board-certified Pharmacist and Pharmacotherapy Specialist living in Amarillo, TX. She is currently practicing as an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison with Sandoz for the South-Central portion of the US. In addition, she is co-owner of Panhandle Pharmaceutical Consultants, PLLC, here she provides pharmacy consulting services to ambulatory surgical hospitals. Dr. Elliott is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Pharmacy. Dr. Elliott received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Texas Tech University HSC in Amarillo, Texas in 2009. She then completed her post graduate pharmacy training at an ASHP Accredited Specialty Residency as a Pharmacotherapy Resident at Texas Tech University HSC. Dr. Elliott is a long-time member of the Panhandle, Texas, and American Societies of Health System Pharmacy. She has served in multiple leadership roles at the local level including President, Program Coordinator, and currently Industry Representative. In addition, Dr. Elliott is also a current board member of the Texas Tech School of Pharmacy Alumni Board. Her spare time is mostly spent spending time with her husband of 22 years and their 3 boys. They can be found most weekends at a ball field or their goat farm where they enjoy raising goats. This honor was presented April 4 at the 2025 Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) Annual Seminar in Irving, TX, at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. TSHP’s Annual Seminar is the largest educational and networking meeting of pharmacists, new practitioners, students, technicians, and industry professionals in Texas. With a focus on quality patient care and medication safety, registrants may select from dozens of hours of live programming each year. TSHP Annual Seminar programs are designed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of pharmacy professionals in health-systems across Texas.
