About TJHP

The Texas Journal of Health-System Pharmacy (TJHP), formerly known as the TSHP Journal, is the official publication of TSHP and includes manuscripts pertinent to the practice of health-system pharmacy, such as original research, review articles, drug information monographs, best practices, and practice reflections. TJHP is published digitally two to three times per year.

Submit to TJHP

TJHP is currently accepting short- (<2,000 word) and long-form (2,000-4,000) articles for consideration. TJHP sections and categories include: Clinical Pearls; Guideline Updates; Mentoring Pearls; Letters to the Editor; Teaching Moments; and Technology in Action.

The TSHP Editorial Advisory Board welcomes manuscripts from any source that are pertinent to the practice of pharmacy in hospitals and health systems. Manuscripts are subject to review by the Editorial Advisory Board and Editor(s) and will be accepted for publication only if they are determined to represent an important contribution to the literature. Authors should follow the procedure checklist and submission instructions available on this page. Authors without internet access may mail one (1) copy of their manuscript and a USB flash drive containing the manuscript file and supporting material to: TSHP Journal, 3000 Joe DiMaggio Blvd., Ste. 30A, Round Rock, Texas 78665-3920. Authors may email or call (512) 906-0546 for assistance.

Accepted materials may not be published elsewhere without written permission from both the author and TSHP. The Editor(s) reserve the right to revise all manuscripts submitted, if necessary. The publisher assumes no responsibility for the statements and opinions advanced by contributors to the TJHP.

For guidance on style, authors should consult the Submission Tool Kit, recent issues of the TJHP and American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy (AJHP), and Scientific Style and Format: The CBE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, 6th edition. The AMA’s Manual of Style contains helpful advice on correct usage.

The views expressed by contributing authors in the TJHP do not necessarily reflect the policy and views of TSHP or the institution with which the author is affiliated unless otherwise specified. Authors, reviewers, Editorial Advisory Board members, and TJHP Editors are required to declare potential conflicts of interest regarding manuscripts submitted for publication.
