The Linda Albrecht Lecture Award

About Linda Stevens Albrecht, MBA, RPh, FASHP, FTSHP

LINDA ALBRECHT received a BS degree in Pharmacy from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. She completed a residency in pharmacy practice at Rhode Island Hospital. From 1984 to 1994, Linda was Education Coordinator for the Department of Pharmacy Services at Parkland Health and Hospital System. She also served as an instructor in the pharmacy technician training program at Richland College in Dallas, Texas for twenty three years. Currently, Linda serves as Regional Director for the University of Texas College of Pharmacy Clerkship Programs in the Dallas/Fort Worth region and as a consultant pharmacist in ambulatory surgery centers for Dembny Pharmacy Consultants.

Linda is Past President of the Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists where she has also served as Secretary, Director and Annual Seminar Chairperson. Linda has served the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists as Secretary, Co-Chair for the 1992 and 1995 Annual Seminars, Membership Group Chair, and Awards Group Chair. From 1998 to 2021 she served as Executive Director for Alcalde, The Southwest Leadership Conference for Pharmacy Residents, Fellows and Preceptors. Linda was the first recipient of the Pharmacist Recognition Award presented by the Technician Section of TSHP and in 2013 was honored to receive the TSHP Distinguished Service Award. In May of 2004, she received the NISOD Excellence Award given by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Community College Leadership Program. In 1998, Linda received the Individual Educational Excellence Award presented by the Texas Pharmacy Association and was selected as the Robert L. Hays Outstanding Consultant Pharmacist by the Texas Pharmacy Association in 2011 and 2023. Linda was inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and was in the inaugural class of Fellows of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Other memberships include the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy and the Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International.

Linda and her husband Jon have been married for 39 years and have 3 daughters, Natalie, Rosemary and Christy. In her spare time, Linda enjoys showing dogs, traveling, walking and attending professional sporting events.
