As pharmacists, we are leaders in all professional settings, and the Leadership Challenge Competition is designed to help students further explore their roles as leaders in the healthcare field. This competition is a great opportunity to collaborate with classmates and present your ideas to potential employers.
Challenge Summary:

What: After the written prompt goes out on 2/1/2025 (via email to TSHP members and on this page: https://tshp.org/page/leadership_competition), teams will
submit a 5-10 page written response to the competition case.** Plans will be scored by a panel of judges composed of pharmacists with leadership and management experience (which may include residency directors!)

Who: Teams of 2 - 4 students (P1-P4). Students will all be evaluated on the same level regardless of their academic year.

Submission Window: Application will close March 22, 2025 at 11:59 PM CT.

When/Where: The top three (3) finalist teams will be announced on or before March 29 and will be asked to present their case at the 2025 TSHP Annual Seminar,
April 3-5, 2025 to a live judging panel (exact appointments TBD; all judging to occur on Thursday, April 3, 2025).

All finalist team members presenting must register for the Annual Seminar.* Registration costs for students is between $80 - $230 depending on when you register and your TSHP membership status. Visit https://tshp.org/mpage/AS-Reg for details.

Winning Team: One (1) winning team will be selected from the onsite finalist presenters. The First-Place Team will receive $250 Cash Prize and each team member will receive Complimentary Registration to 2025 Annual Seminar at the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Texas.
The competition is open to all P1-P4 students.

PLEASE READ: The competition committee will allow student groups to make assumptions about the case, as long as they document the assumptions and the rationale behind the assumptions.
**Submission Length: References should be included in the 10-page limit.
*In regard to TSHP Annual Seminar attendance, the committee would ideally like all members of the group to be present.

Early Bird registration discount, you may follow this scale for in-person participation: Groups of 2: All members must be present:
Groups of 3: Minimum of 2/3 members must be present.
Groups of 4: Minimum of 3/4 members must be present.
