The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) is proud to announce that Stephanie Crowley, PharmD, MS, BCPS is the recipient of the 2025 Larry C. Nesmith Pharmacist Recognition. TSHP annually recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations within our community for excellence and a commitment to advancing healthcare and pharmacy practice in Texas. The awardees are selected by the TSHP Board of Directors based on nominations submitted by TSHP members. A pharmacist earns this award by demonstrating active involvement in the education and professional growth of pharmacy technicians and support staff. They must be nominated by a TSHP Technician Section member. Stephanie Crowley, PharmD, MS, BCPS is the Pharmacy Operations Manager at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood since 2021. She graduated from pharmacy school at University of Houston College of Pharmacy (’19) and completed her PGY1/PGY2/MS Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency at Houston Methodist Hospital as part of The Houston Program at University of Houston College of Pharmacy (’21). Prior to pharmacy school, Dr. Crowley worked at Target Pharmacy for six years—starting as a pharmacy technician trainee and became a pharmacy technician. She utilizes her experience as a pharmacy technician to connect with her team. At HCA Kingwood, she is the direct supervisor of the pharmacy technician team and oversees pharmacy operations. She has worked to develop additional rungs in the pharmacy technician career ladder opportunities at her hospital by adding the pharmacy technician trainee and pharmacy technician supervisor positions. Dr. Crowley’s has been involved in TSHP’s Leadership Challenge since 2021 as a judge, and serves on the Awards Review Committee. This honor was presented April 4 at the 2025 Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) Annual Seminar in Irving, TX, at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. TSHP’s Annual Seminar is the largest educational and networking meeting of pharmacists, new practitioners, students, technicians, and industry professionals in Texas. With a focus on quality patient care and medication safety, registrants may select from dozens of hours of live programming each year. TSHP Annual Seminar programs are designed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of pharmacy professionals in health-systems across Texas.
