The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) is proud to announce that Michael Toraño, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, CPHQ, is the recipient of the 2025 Leo F. & Ann Godley Residency Fellowship Award. TSHP annually recognizes outstanding individuals
and organizations within our community for excellence and a commitment to advancing healthcare and pharmacy practice in Texas. The awardees are selected by the TSHP Board of Directors based on nominations submitted by TSHP members.
A resident or fellow earns this award by demonstrating a commitment to the profession of pharmacy through service, practice, education, research and/or other activities. It includes a $500 stipend from the TSHP Research & Education Foundation.
Michael Toraño received his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, Master of Business Administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology, and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. He is currently a PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership resident at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, part of CommonSpirit Health. Upon graduation, Michael will stay on with CommonSpirit as the Region Manager of Pharmacy Reimbursement for Colorado, Kansas, and Utah, where he will collaborate with enterprise leaders to optimize pharmacy reimbursement and resources across 20 hospitals and over 200 care sites. In his free time, Michael enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with his friends, family, and two dogs.
This honor was presented April 4 at the 2025 Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) Annual Seminar in Irving, TX, at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. TSHP’s Annual Seminar is the largest educational and networking meeting of pharmacists,
new practitioners, students, technicians, and industry professionals in Texas. With a focus on quality patient care and medication safety, registrants may select from dozens of hours of live programming each year. TSHP Annual Seminar programs are
