Mohiuddin receives the 2025 Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists Scholarship

The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists Research & Education Foundation (TSHP R&E Foundation) is proud to announce the recipient of the 2025 Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists Scholarship is Khadijah I. Mohiuddin.

The Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists Scholarship is for pharmacy students from or resident in the Metroplex area (see map). Preference will be given to P3 and P4 students undertaking at least one clinical rotation in the Dallas/Ft. Worth (Metroplex) area.

"I am a Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy, with an expected graduation in May 2025. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas," said Mohiuddin "Throughout pharmacy school, I have pursued opportunities in patient care, research, and leadership. As a pharmacy intern, I have gained hands-on experience counseling patients, verifying prescriptions, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy. Additionally, serving as an academic tutor has allowed me to mentor fellow students, reinforcing my passion for education and professional development.

"Beyond my clinical work, I have been involved in research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where I studied cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetes" continued Mohiuddin "Presenting my findings at the NIH All of Us Research Convention was a defining moment that strengthened my commitment to evidence-based practice. As President of the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (Double T), I have also led initiatives to support pharmacy students in professional growth, networking, and clinical skills development.

"I am honored to receive this scholarship from TSHP, as it reaffirms my dedication to the field and inspires me to continue striving for excellence," concluded " said Mohiuddin "My goal is to pursue a pharmacy residency to further develop my clinical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to patient care.

This honor was presented April 4 during the 2025 Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) Annual Seminar at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas in Irving, TX. TSHP’s Annual Seminar is the largest educational and networking meeting of student pharmacists, career pharmacists, new practitioners, technicians, and industry professionals in Texas. With a focus on quality patient care and medication safety, registrants may select from many educational and networking activities, including dozens of hours of live programming each year and events catered to students as well. TSHP Annual Seminar programs are designed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of pharmacy professionals in health-systems across Texas.
